Junior Varsity Boys put Points on the Board, Lose Close Contest

The junior varsity boys went to Rising Star on Thursday, losing a close decision 24-21. In defeat, however, there were small victories. The two game scoring drought was broken early in the contest as quarterback Clint Holik hit Dallas Martinez with a 65 yard catch and run. Emory Tucker caught a twenty yard touchdown pass, and Holik once again found his target as Dallas Martinez scored on another twenty yard touchdown completion. The game came down to a single play. Veribest scored in the closing seconds, but could not recover the onside kick. Coach Eubanks was pleased with the effort of the team, congratulating all the players for the great game.
