The junior high Lady Falcons soared over the competition this weekend to win the District 14 Zone I championship in Eden. The girls were competitive in every event entered, and every point was needed. Veribest won the event by a slim 12 points over Eden. Congratulations to the Lady Falcons on a job well done!
The junior High Falcons dominated the running events and placed well in the field events, but fell just short of Eden in the race for the zone championship. While the Falcons settled for second place overall, the boys competed in and won a number of races. Congratulations to the Falcons.
As junior high athletics winds down, we need to look back on a great year.
The football team finished the year 7-1-1, the volleyball teams both posted winning records, the girls' basketball team had a great run, finishing well over .500 on the season, the boys' team went a perfect 14-0 in basketball, and the girls won a track championship!
Job well done to the coaches, athletes, and parents of Veribest!
